Wrap the felt inside the Bag (the felt is supplied if written on description)
In order to have a Bag more rigid you can wrap a carton after the felt (The carton is not supplied)
Fill the Bag with:
Scraps of Fabrics and/or Sawdust and/or Grinded Plastic and/or Paper Scraps
For filling correctly a punching bag , you need to know that the bag has to be neither too rigid nor too soft.
The best way for filling is to use a mix of the following materials:
- sawdust (average specific weight: 0,25 kg/liter). You can find it in every wood factory, and usually it is without any cost
- scraps of fabrics (average specific weight: 0,20 kg/liter). You can find them in every clothing factory and usually it is without any cost
- grinded plastics (average specific weight: 0,80 kg/liter). You can find it in a factory working with plastics and its cost is from 0,40 to 0,80 Euro /kg
- pressed sawdust for heating (average specific weight: 0,60 kg/liter). You can find it in shops having items for heating and for the house. Usually 15kg have a cost of 4.,00 Euro
The best way is to use a mix of these items, for example as follows:
1) 1,50 kg of scraps of fabric
2) 2,00 kg of sawdust
3) 4,00 kg of grinded plastics
4) 1,50 kg of scraps of fabric
5) 2,00 kg of sawdust
6) ....
7) And then again up to fill the whole bag
The use of sand (only sand) is not appropriate, because the sand is going to become too rigid and, after a little use, it is like to beat against a wall. If you want to use the sand, it it important not to put more than 2kg every 50cm of bag (and well distributed)
